Owner, Jessica Cahoon, grew up in a creative house drawing on stairs and walls, crafting with her mom, and playing "store" with her two sisters. She has always had a passion for hunting down the unexpected and in 2004 opened up her first shop, fort & field, in order to offer a curated collection of her finds. The shop was intended to be home and garden items ("fort" for home and "field" for garden), inspired by the 40 acres of field and woods she explored in her small Minnesota hometown, but has since expanded to encompass an array of items that are beautiful enough to display, yet practical enough for everyday use.
