North Loop Storefront Closing 2/23

a letter from Rachel

I’ve made the difficult decision to close the North Loop storefront for Story & Teller at the end of February. Though the space has allowed for so much connection, fun, creativity, and joy, it isn’t financially viable to continue.

I am heartbroken. I am also ready for things to be and feel differently.

Sometimes you realize a dream was viewed through a rosy lens. Sometimes you live it and discover it isn’t what you need. That it doesn’t work. That it actually feels off in facets that are inalterable.

And that’s entirely okay. It’s okay to let go, to pivot, to reset, to restart. AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Finale February

Before I put that into practice, we get to make this February a GRAND finale for the storefront. Please come by and let’s have a blast! If you haven’t visited yet, now is your perfect excuse. Come check it out, snag something amazing for your home, or just say hi and stay tuned. If you’ve been to the shop before, please come back so I can thank you properly. You all have been thee greatest blessing in this journey. Truly.

I’ll never get over how lucky I am. I get to keep pursuing what I love, even if it’s in a different way or on the side of something new. I get to call so many new people friends. And I get to close this chapter with my head held high knowing that I had the courage to take the leap and I gave it my damn all.

So... What's Next

Story & Teller will move fully online beginning March 1st to move through remaining inventory. I will also be shifting focus to my design and organization services. I’m eager to collaborate and help bring your visions to life in this way that allows me to continue to scout for refined, well made goods, plus weave in more vintage and secondhand finds.

Beyond that, I am open to so many possibilities. Perhaps a project manager at an interior design firm, or a brand & creative strategist for a home brand, or digital marketing manager for something entirely new. I’m genuinely excited to apply everything that I’ve learned through this experience, and allow my curiosity to take me through doors I didn’t know existed 2 years ago.

If you know of someone that I should connect with, please email me! And either way, know how grateful I am for your support this past year. I hope to see you soon and be sure to check out our February events calendar - it’s going to be an amazing last month in the North Loop!
