Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Position Type: Part-Time - Weekends (with occasional weeknight events)
Role Overview: As a Retail & Marketing Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a seamless and engaging customer experience for each person who enters Story & Teller. This weekend position is perfect for someone who enjoys variation in their work, as each day in retail is a little different. At its core, the role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including retail operations, social media management, and basic administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement
- Greet and assist customers, providing product information and recommendations
- Cultivate a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively

Retail Operations
- Manage inventory replenishment and maintain visual merchandising standards
- Process transactions and handle credit card payments
- Pack and ship online orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare in-store pick-up orders accurately and in a timely manner and greet customers upon arrival

Marketing Management
- Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest while adhering to our brand standards
- Monitor and respond to customer comments and inquiries on social media and email
- Monitor and respond to customer reviews on website and Google
- Support with the coordination of in-store events, workshops, and promotions

Administrative Tasks
- Assist with basic administrative duties, such as product inventory entries and website information updates
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store, including light cleaning duties
Qualifications:
- Personable with ability to build rapport with customers
- Autonomous and capable of problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Must have reliable transportation to get to our North Loop location
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Interest in retail, visual merchandising, interior design, marketing, or other related creative fields is a plus
